Parliament
Also called: lok sabha, rajya sabha, monsoon session, budget session, winter session
Parliament is the Union legislature: the directly elected Lok Sabha, the indirectly elected Rajya Sabha, and the President. Beyond making law it controls public finance and holds the executive answerable through questions, debates and committees.
