Tariffs and trade barriers
Also called: tariff, customs duty, import duty, anti-dumping, trade barrier
Tariffs are duties on imports, used for revenue, protection and leverage. Because they are bound under WTO commitments and traded away in free trade agreements, a tariff change is usually also a foreign policy act.
